black crow
your dark body
is like ash
feathers soft as soot
or pulp
your bony feet
seem to belong
nowhere
black-bird
you search the world
for ungarded treasure;
collector of tarnished
silver rings
from long dead hands
eye sockets from idols
& old pepsi bottles
you perch on my head
i know you're there
picking my brain
for secrets
wringing through my dreams
your beak
splits my tongue
causing me to speak
in metaphors
